Domaine Chandon seeks Senior QHSE Manager in Yountville, California. Lead quality, safety, and environmental compliance across wine production operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead health and safety committee, drive safety initiatives, and manage comprehensive health and safety programs across the organization
  • Develop and maintain cohesive health and safety training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation
  • Ensure compliance with all safety requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards including OSHA and Cal/OSHA
  • Lead ISO 45001 certification and manage the Integrated Management System (IMS) for safety
  • Foster a positive safety culture, encouraging open communication and proactive hazard reporting
  • Develop and enforce the contractor safety management program, ensuring all contractors understand and adhere to company standards
  • Develop, implement, and manage the organization's Integrated Management System (IMS) and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant ISO certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001
  • Oversee supplier quality management and ensure quality and regulatory aspects are adequately covered in supplier selection, control, and monitoring
  • Maintain quality management systems across the entire organization from vineyards to shipment of finished goods
  • Lead quality management review (QMR) meetings and coordinate with safety and environment teams
  • Conduct regular auditing of quality systems both internally and at contract manufacturer locations
  • Manage, mentor, and support the Quality Supervisor and Quality Technician
  • Lead root cause and corrective action investigations for quality complaints and customer correspondence
  • Assign and oversee daily production quality audits on tirage, disgorging, labeling lines, and bottling subcontractor operations
  • Ensure incoming inspection of wine and finished product inspections are performed on schedule; process wine returns
  • Investigate and respond to quality complaints with appropriate documentation and reporting
  • Lead environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, including Napa Green Winery Certification
  • Lead sustainability committee overseeing soils, water, packaging and waste, health and safety, energy, carbon footprint, CSR, and workplace wellness initiatives
  • Establish annual objectives for environment and energy management
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by providing recommendations and supporting implementation across departments
  • Develop process-oriented analysis and implement continuous improvement methodologies including 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean Management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum 7-10 years of quality and environmental experience in an industrial setting
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful quality assurance strategies and managing quality systems
  • Strong understanding of quality methodologies, tools, and processes including Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, and SPC
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant ISO standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and familiarity with industry-specific regulations
  • Knowledge of Product Quality Assurance analyses and methodology
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proven experience with successful ISO implementation and management experience
  • Ability to work safely, including proper use of protective equipment and handling of hazardous substances

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field required. Master's degree is preferred.
