Chandon seeks a Retail Design & Visual Merchandising Assistant (internship) in Paris, France to support brand activation and store design projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of design briefs for visual merchandising (VM) tools and retail activation materials
- Design retail solutions tailored to distribution plans and visibility typologies across Brand Homes, Travel Retail, and domestic markets
- Prepare execution documents for markets and manufacturing partners
- Participate in material alignment and prototyping phases for VM and merchandising tools
- Upload 3D assets and technical documents to the MH platform
- Centralize brand and competitive photography for post-mortem reviews and market intelligence
- Assist in creating presentations, trend research, mood boards, and visual support materials for flagship projects
- Develop exploratory sketches and 3D renders for spatial design and VM concepts
- Design standard plans for VM tools across retail formats
- Provide proactive support in exploring trends, best practices, and innovation in soft merchandising and customer experience
- Develop 'expression' and 'experience' books for key stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of innovative, trend-focused design concepts, including AI tools and material exploration
- Create and maintain a database of 3D models, VM tools, design spaces, and technical project resources
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal meetings
- Manage administrative tasks related to the position, including scheduling, consolidation, order management, and associated activities
Qualifications
- Master's-level student in Retail Architecture, Visual Merchandising, Design, or Scenography
- Strong affinity for luxury brands and the wines and spirits sector
- Retail-focused mindset with meticulous attention to detail and creative vision
- Team player with proactive approach and solution-oriented mindset
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (essential)
- Knowledge of SketchUp, V-Ray, Enscape, and KeyShot
- Fluent English and French (written and oral)
- Familiarity with generative AI tools (preferred)
