Chandon seeks Maintenance & Engineering Manager in Yountville, CA. Lead facilities, safety, and compliance for luxury wine production facility.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive preventive maintenance program using the eMaint CMMS system, emphasizing asset care and customer service while reducing reactive work
  • Demonstrate active safety leadership and foster a strong culture prioritizing safety, quality, environmental impact reduction, energy efficiency, and food safety compliance
  • Supervise and coordinate both internal maintenance teams and outsourced service providers, ensuring job hazard analyses and thorough resolution of safety concerns
  • Establish and manage maintenance priority processes in coordination with department stakeholders and implement facility-wide escalation protocols for urgent repairs
  • Develop key performance indicators for each service provider, maintain vendor assessments in conjunction with Purchasing and Quality, and ensure effective onboarding programs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and county regulatory requirements through the Internal Control compliance framework and proper permitting
  • Lead root cause investigations, near-miss and incident reporting, and corrective action processes to drive continuous improvement across the department
  • Implement and comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) standards across all maintenance operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or technical field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the wine or beverage production industry
  • At least 3 years of direct team supervision or leadership experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safe production practices and equipment safety procedures
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies including CI, TPM, and 5S
  • Proficiency in SAP, eMaint CMMS, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lead and coordinate teams across multiple technical disciplines including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, facilities management, or a comparable discipline is preferred.
