Food & Beverage Operations Manager at Chandon Brand Home, Yountville. Lead F&B team, manage guest experiences, drive revenue goals.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Food & Beverage team by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel across all service levels
  • Facilitate and actively participate in comprehensive training sessions covering wine and food knowledge, sales excellence, service excellence, and safety and security protocols
  • Ensure delivery of ISO standards and service quality benchmarks, including sequence of service, equipment maintenance, par levels, product presentation, and ongoing training
  • Develop and implement annual team and individual training targets, KPIs, policies, and procedures for new and existing team members
  • Coach staff on customer service standards, sales techniques, efficient teamwork, and brand culture
  • Foster two-way communication and create an ownership environment with emphasis on motivation and team cohesion
  • Develop and publish weekly schedules for direct reports and ensure clear communication of policy changes, events, and daily functions
  • Attend and conduct Brand Home Leadership meetings to remain informed on goals, new releases, programs, and educational materials
  • Manage all day-to-day hospitality and experience operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
  • Ensure the Chandon brand is properly communicated through each guest interaction by maintaining staff professionalism and messaging consistency
  • Monitor daily bookings and ensure assigned tables are prepared prior to guest arrival
  • Provide personalized services to special guests, including elderly visitors, children, people with disabilities, and VIPs
  • Coordinate communication between guests and staff, actively resolving customer concerns and complaints
  • Analyze customer feedback from post-reservation surveys and social media reviews to identify improvement opportunities
  • Design exceptional Chandon Experience menus and seasonal offerings, manage procurement, and implement continuous improvements
  • Oversee all Exclusive and Private Event Experiences based on BEO specifications and coordinate with Event Planning and culinary teams
  • Ensure all food and beverage event equipment is maintained in proper operational condition and cleaned regularly
  • Manage direct staffing requirements for events, assign work, and establish performance and development goals
  • Develop annual budget goals for wine and food experiences and visitor traffic
  • Successfully meet monthly revenue and wine club acquisition goals through strategic management of daily experiences
  • Manage reservation systems to maximize efficiency and revenue potential
  • Control expenses in line with budgets and sales goals; manage labor costs through effective scheduling
  • Drive upsell initiatives for Experience upgrades, wine and food add-ons, and retail sales
  • Manage point-of-sale systems with accuracy for daily opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled securely and professionally
  • Establish cost of goods sold (COGS) for new experiences and menu items

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a hotel, restaurant, or comparable hospitality environment
  • Proven track record as a Front Office Manager, Guest Relations Manager, Restaurant Manager, or similar supervisory role
  • Experience mentoring large, diverse staff with varied levels of experience and maturity
  • Strong understanding of consumer trends and behaviors
  • Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and motivate staff to excellence
  • Exceptional problem-solving and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments
  • Leadership capability with vision setting, priority management, and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages preferred
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Education

Undergraduate degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred. Equivalent professional experience in hospitality management may substitute for formal education.
