CELINE New York seeks a VIP Trainee (internship) to manage sample trafficking, VIP dressing and press monitoring; paid position at $20/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end sample trafficking between New York, Paris HQ and Los Angeles: submit editorial and VIP dressing requests, coordinate send-outs and returns, prepare proforma documentation and track international deliveries.
- Operate Launch Metrics to input new samples, maintain the New York VIP sample inventory, and log VIP send-outs and image assets.
- Pack, steam, button and prepare samples for presentation; coordinate dry cleaning, pressing and upkeep of showroom and sample closet merchandising.
- Coordinate domestic messenger services and arrange courier shipments for stylists, VIPs and LA office; oversee packing and physical logistics of sample movements.
- Monitor photo agencies and social media for celebrity placements; conduct daily press searches and compile weekly press reports and VIP image dossiers.
- Maintain and merchandize the showroom and sample closet, replenish supplies, and prepare dressing proposal PDFs for stylists.
- Research emerging talent in entertainment and music for potential collaborations, award-season opportunities and campaign or show presence; produce monthly talent reports for the VIP manager.
- Manage logistics for VIP gifting and invitation programs, including receipt of product/packaging, gift-wrapping and coordinated shipments for birthdays and events.
Qualifications
- Eligible to receive paid compensation in the United States and able to commit to at least five full workdays per week for a 12-month traineeship (May 2026 – May 2027).
- Computer literate with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Launch Metrics.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational instincts and a polished, professional manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative team player who can take initiative in a small, high-pressure team.
- Enthusiasm for luxury fashion and familiarity with celebrity/entertainment industries; willingness to perform hands-on showroom and logistics tasks.
Skills
Experience
Entry-level; suitable for candidates with prior internship experience or coursework in fashion, communications or related fields. Demonstrated exposure to sample handling, client servicing or editorial dressing is advantageous.
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's programme in fashion, marketing, communications, merchandising or a related discipline.
