Céline seeks an experienced Team Manager – Operations at its New York flagship store. Manage operations team, inventory, and processes; $100K–$110K annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Operations Associates through regular coaching, performance reviews, and development using the internal RISE platform
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training of new hires, ensuring adherence to company standards and operational processes including Cegid store operating system and product flow management
- Own weekly cycle counts and yearly inventory management in collaboration with the Inventory Control team; maintain accurate negative-on-hand reporting
- Implement inventory loss prevention policies and procedures; identify operational efficiencies to protect assets against theft and damage
- Serve as acting store leader in the absence of the Store Manager, in partnership with the Assistant Store Manager and other team managers
- Ensure client experience drives all processes and operational decisions; partner with the Store Manager on best practices and process optimization
- Lead operational projects and provide business facilitation to support store and headquarters initiatives
- Manage health and safety compliance and facility maintenance in accordance with company policies and USA retail legislation
- Monitor P&L across all operational areas to identify cost-reduction opportunities and efficiency gains
- Support CRM initiatives and client data capture; work with teams to deliver stock optimization analysis and forward planning
- Conduct weekly product line reviews and collaborate with merchandising to maximize replenishment potential and drive sales
- Supervise compliance with company policies and procedures, including appropriate disciplinary action; manage succession planning and staff development
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of retail management experience
- Minimum 3 years of people management experience
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail POS systems (experience with Cegid preferred)
- Strong knowledge of USA retail law, security protocols, and health and safety legislation
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
- Proven commercial acumen and sales-focused mindset
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels
- Proactive problem-solving orientation with ability to implement solutions
- Ability to work retail schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years in retail operations with at least 3 years in a people management capacity. Previous experience in luxury retail or high-end customer service environments is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training in retail management preferred.
