Céline seeks a Team Manager for its New York Madison Avenue boutique. Lead sales team, manage operations, and deliver luxury client service in this full-time temporary role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of Client Advisors through goal setting, coaching, and regular individual and team meetings
- Build a growth-oriented environment via daily coaching, weekly pulse checks, monthly reviews, and the RISE internal objectives platform
- Ensure direct reports maintain a strategic, commercially focused mindset with consistent KPI achievement
- Oversee succession planning by training and developing support personnel
- Lead recruitment of candidates meeting company standards for all team levels
- Implement company policies and manage disciplinary procedures consistently and fairly
- Onboard, train, and develop team members to deliver exceptional client service and maximize systems and processes usage
- Identify and address individual and team training needs; create and implement regular training with documented reports to Training and Store Managers
- Meet sales goals established by the Regional Director of Stores
- Lead and empower the sales team to achieve maximum sales results through high-quality client service delivery
- Coordinate use of client relationship resources including training tools and client books to provide personalized client assistance
- Manage floor supervision levels to optimize sales performance
- Develop events and incentives to grow the client base, with emphasis on local market development
- Maintain the highest level of client service standards daily
- Support the Store Manager in building a strong repeat business and prospecting culture through action-based engagement
- Collaborate with corporate partners to ensure team excellence in client service, as measured by Voice of Client and Mystery Shop scores
- Assist sales associates in resolving client service issues and empower them as a proactive mentor and problem solver
- Ensure effective utilization of POS systems and inventory management functions; train staff to proficiency
- Partner with logistics and product teams to ensure appropriate inventory assortment
- Provide monthly qualitative and quantitative business reports to corporate as required
- Maintain strong communication with corporate office, mall office, repair facilities, and other stores
- Manage follow-up procedures and paperwork accurately and timely
- Meet inventory accuracy and shrink reduction targets
- Partner with the Visual Manager on all visual merchandising standards
- Determine metro client profile to enable appropriate responses to individual market trends
- Support visual merchandising in planning and implementing an innovative, compelling retail environment
- Review sales data frequently and take corrective action to improve performance
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of retail experience, preferably in luxury retail or store management
- Business school degree, university degree, or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency with POS systems and various software packages
- Client book experience strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage teams and develop talent
- Action-oriented and results-driven mindset
Skills
Experience
Minimum of six years in a retail setting with emphasis on operations, store management, or office administration, preferably in a luxury environment. Demonstrated experience in team leadership, sales management, and retail operations is essential. Candidates with existing client books are strongly preferred.
Education
Business school, university degree, or equivalent professional experience in retail management or related field.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 105,000 to USD 125,000 per annum.
