CELINE — Temporary Store Manager in Chicago: lead boutique operations, P&L, HR, clienteling and inventory for the Maison's Chicago store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead overall store operations including sales execution, visual merchandising, inventory control and adherence to corporate standards.
- Own full profit & loss responsibility; monitor controllable expenses and drive achievement of sales budgets and KPIs.
- Recruit, onboard and develop store staff; implement regular one‑to‑one reviews, MPP evaluations and succession planning.
- Coach the sales team on clienteling, service excellence and relationship building to strengthen customer loyalty and lifetime value.
- Manage inventory and stock levels using Retail Pro and the store P.O.S. system; coordinate cycle and physical inventories as required.
- Prepare and submit monthly qualitative and quantitative business reports to the New York management team.
- Oversee ordering and open‑to‑buy (OTB) planning in collaboration with the Buyer to optimise assortment and stock flow.
- Administer payroll and scheduling using Kronos; ensure timesheet accuracy, holiday planning and compliance with HR policies.
- Maintain store presentation and grooming standards; partner with Visual Merchandising to execute global directives.
- Resolve customer service issues (repairs, returns, complaints) and coach staff in conflict mediation and escalation procedures.
Qualifications
- Business school or university degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7–10 years of progressive store management experience, preferably within luxury retail.
- Proven P&L management and commercial reporting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train and retain high‑performing retail teams.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; decisive and action‑oriented.
- Customer‑centric mindset with high standards for service and presentation.

Experience
Minimum 7–10 years of store management experience, ideally within a luxury or premium retail environment, with demonstrable results in team leadership, sales growth and inventory/operations management.
Education
Business school, university degree or equivalent professional experience.
