Céline seeks Store Manager for Fashion Valley location in San Diego. Lead team, drive sales, and manage luxury retail operations. $125K–$150K annual.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead overall store management including staff, merchandise, and customer service operations
  • Drive sales to meet or exceed monthly and annual budgets through team empowerment and clienteling initiatives
  • Monitor daily sales performance and set individual monthly sales objectives for each team member
  • Analyze and explain store performance by product category, mix, lines, functions, and collections
  • Maintain visual merchandising and store appearance standards in partnership with the visual merchandiser
  • Supervise store personnel and implement company policies including payroll management using Kronos timekeeping system
  • Recruit, assess, and interview talent in collaboration with Regional Management and Human Resources; manage hiring and termination
  • Conduct monthly one-to-one staff reviews and evaluate individual performance through the MPP process
  • Identify staff strengths and development areas using the Retail OMR process with HR guidance
  • Mentor and develop team members to advance their careers and build a motivated, high-performing culture
  • Manage inventory using Retail Pro system and collaborate with buyers on OTB and ordering responsibilities
  • Maintain full profit and loss responsibility with particular focus on controllable expenses and sales targets
  • Manage stock associates to maintain proper SKU levels and dollar values using point-of-sale systems
  • Ensure compliance with cycle and physical inventory requirements set by corporate management
  • Assist sales associates with customer service issues including repairs, returns, and merchandise concerns
  • Coach team members to maintain the highest standards of customer service daily
  • Create and manage staff work schedules to ensure appropriate store coverage
  • Administer paid time off, absences, and payroll documentation in accordance with company procedures
  • Ensure proper maintenance and organization of key documents, working contracts, and invoices
  • Implement directives from corporate office and maintain positive relationships with regional, mail, and repair facilities

Qualifications

  • Degree from a Business School, University, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of store management experience, preferably in the luxury retail sector
  • Proficiency in retail management software including Retail Pro and point-of-sale systems
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn and operate various software packages
  • Action-oriented and results-driven approach with proven ability to achieve sales and operational goals
  • Demonstrated capability to motivate teams and build strong, cohesive working environments
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and social perceptiveness
  • Skilled problem-solver with proficiency in mediating and resolving operational and interpersonal issues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
