CELINE – Production Team Leader – Leather Goods in Strada in Chianti, Italy. EUR 30,000 annual starting salary, full-time role reporting to department head.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Motivate and lead the production team on the line, providing clear direction and exemplifying best practices in work methodology
  • Model and enforce strict adherence to workplace safety standards and protocols, supporting all production staff in daily safety compliance
  • Propose technical solutions and improvements to increase productivity and quality while maintaining lean production principles
  • Support production staff during transitions in workstation assignments, personnel changes, or process modifications, and substitute for absent team members as needed
  • Maintain consistent quality standards across all manufactured products
  • Monitor compliance with established procedures among all production personnel and verify accuracy of production documentation including patterns and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with the department head on product industrialization and refinement to anticipate and mitigate potential production line issues
  • Ensure timely and correct management of product repairs and quality corrections
  • Report promptly to the department head on production challenges that require escalation or resolution beyond individual capability
  • Interface with other department heads or production management on production priorities and line allocation in the absence of the direct supervisor

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in leather goods production
  • Advanced technical competencies in leather bag production across all phases: bench assembly, stitching, machinery operation, and equipment setup
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and mentor production staff while transferring technical knowledge
  • Capacity to deputize for the department head while maintaining clear role definition and departmental hierarchy
  • Strong priority management and results-driven orientation
  • Ability to work flexibly on daily shifts and/or rotating shift schedules
  • English language proficiency (preferred)
