Celine seeks Production Manager in Florence, Italy. Manage 130+ artisans, oversee leather goods manufacturing, EUR 70,000 annual salary.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise the complete leather goods manufacturing process to achieve assigned volumes and efficiency targets
- Manage and develop a team of 4 Production Supervisors and approximately 130 artisans, plus 1 production Industrialization technician
- Motivate and provide coaching guidance to production staff to foster engagement and performance
- Establish and communicate productivity goals for each manufacturing team
- Monitor adherence to daily and weekly production plans, providing regular feedback to the planning department
- Generate comprehensive progress reports on efficiency metrics and other critical KPIs
- Ensure rigorous adherence to quality standards for all finished products
- Communicate proactively with senior management regarding production challenges or issues
- Oversee staff scheduling and supervise recruitment, cross-training, and professional development initiatives
- Foster a safe, respectful, and motivating work environment within the production department
Qualifications
- University degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent discipline
- Minimum 5 years of production management experience in industrial manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Proven ability to coach, motivate, and lead teams of 100+ personnel
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Negotiation skills and cross-functional stakeholder management
- Excellent organizational and team-building abilities
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years in production management roles within industrial manufacturing contexts. Proven track record of successfully overseeing large-scale artisanal or manufacturing operations with responsibility for substantial teams and multiple production supervisors.
Education
University degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering or operations management discipline.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Florence, Tuscany, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 70,000 per annum.
