Celine Production Manager, Florence, Italy – Lead 130+ artisans in luxury leather manufacturing. €70,000 annual salary.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise the complete leather goods manufacturing process to achieve expected volumes and efficiency targets
- Manage a team of 4 Production Supervisors and approximately 130 artisans, plus 1 Production Industrialization technician
- Establish and communicate productivity goals for each manufacturing team
- Monitor daily and weekly production plans and provide regular feedback to the planning department
- Produce progress reports on efficiency metrics and key performance indicators
- Ensure compliance with quality standards across finished products
- Maintain staff scheduling and oversee recruitment, cross-training, and professional development initiatives
- Foster a motivating and engaged production environment while ensuring all safety and health standards are met
- Communicate regularly with senior management regarding production challenges and issues
- Provide coaching, motivation, and guidance to production personnel at all levels
Qualifications
- University degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a production management role within industrial manufacturing
- Expertise in manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strong team-building attitude and coaching capabilities
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Advanced negotiation and communication abilities
- Proficiency in computer systems and manufacturing software
- Fluent in English and Italian; French is preferred
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in production management or a comparable supervisory role within an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in luxury leather goods or high-end artisanal production.
Education
University degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline such as Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or Production Engineering.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Florence, Tuscany, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 70,000 per annum.
