Production Manager at Céline, Florence, Italy. Oversee luxury leather goods manufacturing with team of 130+ artisans.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise the complete leather goods manufacturing process to achieve volume and efficiency targets
  • Manage a team of 4 Production Supervisors, approximately 130 artisans, and 1 production Industrialization technician
  • Motivate, support, and provide guidance to production staff
  • Establish and monitor productivity goals for each manufacturing team
  • Ensure daily and weekly adherence to production plans, providing regular feedback to the planning department
  • Generate progress reports on efficiency and key performance indicators
  • Maintain quality standards for finished products throughout the production cycle
  • Communicate with senior management regarding operational issues impacting production
  • Oversee staff scheduling, recruitment processes, cross-training initiatives, and career development plans

Qualifications

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Production Manager in industrial manufacturing
  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and lead diverse teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proficient in computer systems and production management software

Experience
