Production Manager at Céline, Florence: oversee leather goods manufacturing with team of 130+ artisans. Full-time, permanent role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise the entire leather goods manufacturing process to achieve expected volumes and efficiency targets
- Manage a team of 4 Production Supervisors, approximately 130 artisans, and 1 production Industrialization technician
- Motivate, support, and provide guidance to production staff at all levels
- Establish and monitor productivity goals for each manufacturing team
- Ensure daily and weekly adherence to production plans with regular feedback to the planning department
- Generate progress reports on efficiency metrics and key performance indicators
- Monitor and ensure respect of quality standards for all finished products
- Communicate regularly with upper management regarding production challenges or operational issues
- Oversee staff scheduling and supervise recruitment, cross-training, and professional development initiatives
- Ensure proper organization of workshop means and resources with strict adherence to safety and health standards
Qualifications
- University degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent discipline
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a production management role within industrial manufacturing
- Advanced expertise in manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and lead diverse teams
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Proven negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent command of computer systems and business applications
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in production management or manufacturing operations within an industrial context, with proven success in overseeing complex manufacturing environments and managing large teams of production staff and artisans.
Education
University degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline such as Production Engineering, Operations Management, or Manufacturing Systems.

The successful candidate will be located in Florence, Tuscany, Italy.
