Production Director at CELINE Strada in Chianti, Italy. Lead multi-plant manufacturing operations for the luxury leather goods house. EUR €120,000 base salary.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for entire manufacturing operations across both Tuscan plants, meeting and exceeding expected volumes and efficiency targets
  • Ensure adherence to daily and weekly production plans, oversee production scheduling, and collaborate closely with the planning department to optimize workflows and mitigate deviations
  • Actively supervise and lead production transformation projects to increase agility and responsiveness; champion continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency
  • Ensure full compliance with the highest quality standards for finished products through implementation of robust proactive quality control processes
  • Generate detailed progress reports on efficiency and relevant KPIs for both plants, presenting analyses and recommendations to the Industrial Director and peers
  • Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations and policies, promoting safe behaviours and a secure working environment across both sites
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team comprising 2 Production Managers, 9 Production Supervisors, 3 Industrialization Technicians, 1 HRBP, 1 Financial Controlling Manager, 1 Planning Manager, and approximately 400 artisans
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and workforce planning processes to foster professional development and skill growth
  • Support and collaborate with the Operational Excellence Manager and their team on strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in production management roles, including at least 3–5 years with multi-plant responsibilities or in complex, large-scale environments
  • Profound knowledge of industrial production processes and proven experience implementing and managing Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement programs and production transformation projects
  • Technical expertise in Quality and Safety (preferred)
  • Proficiency reviewing Plant Profit & Loss statements and basic financial understanding
  • Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken); French proficiency is a significant advantage

Experience

Education

University degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or related disciplines. A Master's degree in Production Management or Operations is considered a plus.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position is EUR 120,000 per annum.
