CELINE seeks a Production Director in Tuscany, Italy to lead manufacturing operations across two plants. Full-time role requires 8-10 years of experience and Lean expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all manufacturing processes across two plants (Radda in Chianti and Strada in Chianti), meeting and exceeding expected volumes and efficiency targets
- Ensure adherence to daily and weekly production plans across both sites, optimizing production scheduling in collaboration with the planning department
- Lead and drive production transformation projects to increase agility and responsiveness, leveraging Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize processes and eliminate waste
- Ensure full compliance with highest quality standards for finished products, implementing robust and proactive quality control processes
- Generate detailed progress reports on efficiency and relevant KPIs for both plants, presenting analyses and recommendations to the Industrial Director
- Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations, promoting safe behaviors and a secure working environment
- Lead, motivate, and develop a direct team of 2 Production Managers, 9 Production Supervisors, 3 Industrialization Technicians, 1 HRBP, 1 Financial Controlling Manager, and 1 Planning Manager, overseeing recruitment, training, and workforce planning
- Support and collaborate with the Operational Excellence Manager to foster a corporate culture centered on safety, health, innovation, and agility
- Member of the Company Steering Committee
Qualifications
- University degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or related disciplines (Master's degree in Production Management or Operations preferred)
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in production management roles, including 3-5 years with multi-plant responsibilities or in complex, large-scale environments
- Profound knowledge of industrial production processes and proven experience implementing and managing Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement programs and production transformation projects
- Technical skills in Quality and Safety preferred; basic understanding of financial capabilities expected
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to interact with and influence at all organizational levels
- Strong aptitude for coaching, motivating, and building high-performing teams
- Proven complex project management capabilities with ability to define priorities and achieve objectives in dynamic environments
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills under pressure
- Strong negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
