CELINE seeks a Production Director for two Tuscan plants in Italy. Lead strategic manufacturing operations, manage 400+ artisans, and drive continuous improvement.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational direction for all manufacturing processes across both plants, ensuring achievement of volume and efficiency targets
  • Oversee daily and weekly production planning and scheduling activities, collaborating closely with planning departments to optimize workflows and mitigate deviations
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and lead production transformation projects leveraging Lean Manufacturing methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and agility
  • Ensure full compliance with highest quality standards through implementation and oversight of robust quality control processes
  • Generate detailed progress reports on efficiency and key performance indicators for both plants, presenting analyses and recommendations to the Industrial Director
  • Ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations, promoting safe behaviors and secure working environments across both sites
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2 Production Managers, 9 Production Supervisors, 3 Industrialization Technicians, 1 HR Business Partner, 1 Financial Controlling Manager, and 1 Planning Manager, fostering professional development and skill growth
  • Support recruitment, training, and workforce planning processes
  • Serve as member of Company Steering Committee

Qualifications

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in production management roles, including at least 3–5 years with multi-plant responsibilities or in complex, large-scale environments
  • Profound knowledge of industrial production processes with proven experience implementing and managing Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Demonstrated success leading continuous improvement programs and production transformation projects
  • Technical expertise in Quality and Safety
  • Basic understanding of financial capabilities, including review of Plant Profit & Loss statements
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to interact with and influence at all organizational levels
  • Strong aptitude for coaching, motivating, and building high-performing teams
  • Proven complex project management capabilities with ability to define priorities in dynamic environments
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills under pressure
  • Strong negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
