Role & Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day store operations and implement process improvements to bolster efficiency and customer service.
- Partner with the Store Manager to drive operational best practice, cascade initiatives and provide transparent reporting on stock and asset protection.
- Lead operational projects end-to-end, including roll-out coordination between store teams and headquarters.
- Train new hires and deliver refresher sessions on the store operating system (Cegid) and store procedures.
- Manage stock control activities: oversee replenishment, cycle counts, yearly inventory and work with Inventory Control to resolve discrepancies.
- Develop forecasting tools and reports to support sales, stock and headcount/payroll planning.
- Optimise stockroom layout and product flow to reduce fetch times, protect inventory and improve service levels.
- Own vendor/supplier relationships to identify service improvements and cost‑saving opportunities.
- Administer store compliance matters including Health & Safety, gift recording procedures and security protocols.
- Monitor P&L drivers and implement measures to control costs and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years' retail experience with at least three years in a people‑management capacity.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects and cascade initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and demonstrated ability to build operational reports and forecasts.
- Practical experience with Cegid or similar retail store management systems; ability to train others on system use.
- Strong commercial acumen with hands‑on experience in stock management, loss prevention and inventory reconciliation.
- Familiarity with North American retail legislation, security and Health & Safety standards (as cited in job posting).
- Ability to work retail schedules including nights, weekends and statutory holidays.
