Role & Responsibilities
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies to protect product assets against theft and damage, with transparent reporting to Store Manager
- Support Store Manager in establishing best practices and optimized processes
- Conduct comprehensive training for new hires and follow-up sessions on Cegid retail operating system
- Drive stock loss reduction by implementing new policies and procedures; serve as first point of contact for stock management and replenishment processes
- Lead optimization initiatives for stockroom organization and operational excellence
- Act as project lead for operational launches, providing support during new store implementation
- Develop staff understanding of product flow management and daily store operations
- Deliver stock optimization analysis, reporting, and forward planning in collaboration with teams
- Support CRM team and Store Manager in capturing and ensuring qualitative client data
- Develop forecasting tools for accurate business planning regarding sales, stock, and headcount/payroll projections
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships to identify cost-reduction and service improvement opportunities
- Drive efficiency gains by organizing stock to improve fetch times and logical stockroom flows
- Manage compliance for recording of gifts received and given to/from clients
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance across store operations in line with company policies
- Review product lines weekly to maximize replenishment potential and challenge Merchandising team
- Monitor P&L metrics to reduce costs and improve store efficiency
- Coordinate with Inventory Control team on negative inventory reporting, weekly cycle counts, and annual inventory
- Oversee facility management and maintenance within the store
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' retail experience with minimum 3 years managing people
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of USA retail laws, security, and Health and Safety legislation
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Strong commercial acumen
- Passion for customer service and sales-focused orientation
- Proven ability to establish a proactive approach to problem-solving and implementation
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 5 years' retail experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a people management capacity. Demonstrated expertise in operational management, inventory control, and team development within a luxury or high-end retail environment is strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; retail management certification or related post-secondary qualification is advantageous.
