Céline, Shanghai. Merchandising Manager – Accessories. Lead product strategy and buying coordination for accessories across retail stores.
Role & Responsibilities
- Study and define product mix according to the specificity of each city and store location
- Participate in the preparation of Open-to-Buy (OTB) budgets and seasonal buying sessions
- Ensure appropriate merchandise is purchased for each city in correct quantities while maintaining brand representation and commercial viability
- Distribute product information and order details to individual stores following each buying cycle
- Prepare merchandise books and remerchandising strategies for new product launches and season-end sales
- Initiate and coordinate with supply chain team on reordering and inventory transfers
- Propose visual merchandising remerchandising and review guidelines with merchandising director and visual merchandising department according to Paris standards
- Identify staff training needs and prepare product training materials for retail teams
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports analyzing product comments and performance
- Review sales and sell-through analyses to develop corrective action plans as needed
- Coordinate with headquarters on quality development and after-sales services
- Monitor competitor assortment, collections, and market trends closely
- Conduct market research on customer behavior, market trends, competitor pricing, and product offerings
- Analyze collection versus market demand to assess potential product opportunities and needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Strong analytical ability in both quantitative and qualitative domains
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with headquarters, regional teams, and retail stores
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
- Fluent in Mandarin and English; proficiency in additional languages advantageous

Experience
Minimum 6–8 years of buying and/or merchandising experience within fashion and luxury goods, preferably with exposure to regional or multi-market product management and retail environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree or above in fashion, business, merchandising, or related discipline.
