Celine seeks an HR Business Partner Manager in New York to lead retail HR strategy across North America with $100K–$120K compensation.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to Regional Directors and retail leadership, providing expert guidance and solutions aligned with business objectives
  • Lead talent acquisition and sourcing for retail leadership positions across the North American retail network
  • Partner with store leadership on organizational design, change management initiatives, and workforce planning aligned with strategic business direction
  • Drive talent development and retention by analyzing employee engagement data and implementing targeted HR initiatives to reduce retail turnover
  • Oversee annual performance review processes through the RISE platform, ensuring fair and equitable evaluation across the retail network
  • Partner with Retail leadership on the annual Organizational Management Review (OMR) process, identifying high-potential talent and building robust succession pipelines
  • Proactively manage employee relations issues, including harassment claims, investigations, and conflict resolution, ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risk
  • Administer compensation programs including the annual Individual Compensation Review (ICR) process, ensuring equitable and performance-based adjustments
  • Maintain accurate HR records, files, and reports in conjunction with the New York corporate office, including timekeeping and personnel documentation
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial employment laws and communicate policies effectively across the retail network
  • Conduct market research to maintain competitive employee compensation aligned with budget guidelines
  • Provide coaching and development to managers in the field, enhancing team leadership skills and fostering continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent HR experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive HR experience including people management
  • Proven experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated HR experience in a retail environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of U.S. and Canadian labor laws
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and ATS recruiting systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels from senior leadership to retail associates

Experience
