Celine – Leather Goods Production Team Leader, Strada in Chianti (FI), Italy. Full-time role supporting artisanal leather manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor production line personnel by setting exemplary work standards and providing technical direction
- Model and reinforce workplace safety protocols across all production activities
- Propose technical solutions and process improvements to enhance productivity and quality whilst adhering to Lean Manufacturing principles
- Support production staff during transitions, personnel changes, and operational adjustments; cover for absent team members as required
- Ensure product quality standards are consistently met throughout all manufacturing phases
- Monitor compliance with established production procedures and verify accuracy of all necessary production documentation, patterns, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with the Production Manager on product industrialisation and refinement to mitigate potential downstream issues
- Oversee and guarantee timely management of product repairs and rework
- Escalate operational challenges and performance issues to the Production Manager when unable to resolve independently
- Liaise with other department leads or production management regarding line priorities in the absence of the Production Manager
Qualifications
- Minimum four years of hands-on leather goods manufacturing experience
- Advanced technical proficiency in bag production across all phases: bench assembly, stitching, machinery operation and calibration
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and transfer technical expertise to production personnel
- Capacity to assume Production Manager responsibilities whilst maintaining respect for departmental hierarchy and reporting structures
- Flexibility to work day shifts and/or rotating shift schedules
- Strong priority management and results orientation

Minimum four years of dedicated experience in leather goods manufacturing, with demonstrated expertise across all production phases including bench assembly, stitching, and machinery operation. Proven track record of leading and mentoring production personnel in an artisanal manufacturing environment.
