Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the women's leather goods product team (LG and mini bags), including direct supervision of three product managers and organisation of team workload.
- Define and steer four yearly collections: establish collection timelines, key merchandising milestones and ensure on-time delivery for showroom launches.
- Develop collection briefs and framing: set assortment structure, target counts, price points and margin objectives based on qualitative insight and quantitative analysis.
- Drive product development and sampling in close collaboration with studio and development teams in Italy: manage material orders, prototype launches, technical meetings and monitor risks to ensure production readiness.
- Control collection costs throughout development, issue target prices, and work with cross-functional partners to achieve margin targets.
- Prepare and coordinate purchase/showroom sessions: liaise with Visual Merchandising for showroom layout, produce sales presentations, and ensure all documentation and PLM data (names, descriptions, prices, SKUs) are accurate and complete.
- Monitor commercial performance through sell-in and sell-out analysis, collect regular feedback from central Retail, Wholesale and regional retail teams, and conduct routine store visits.
- Provide product content and support to Marketing, Press and Training teams to guarantee consistent product communication across channels.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' experience in merchandising or product development with demonstrable expertise in women's leather goods.
- Proven experience managing product teams and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
- Degree from a business school or university (or equivalent professional background).
- Strong product sensibility, commercial acumen and rigorous organisational skills.
- Excellent analytical ability and presentation skills; adept at prioritising and adapting to fast-changing schedules.
- Fluent professional English (mandatory); Italian language skills are a plus.

Extensive background in luxury leather goods merchandising/product development with responsibility for full collection lifecycle and delivery. Track record of managing product teams, coordinating with international studios and suppliers (notably Italy), driving technical and commercial decisions through prototyping to production, and preparing showroom/purchase sessions.

Business school degree or university degree (or equivalent professional qualification).
