Celine seeks Senior Components Buyer/Industrialization Manager in Paris to oversee procurement, sourcing, and industrialization of components for luxury leather goods production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead component industrialization during development phases, organizing regular meetings to transfer production technical expertise and manage technical specifications with development teams
- Master and communicate regulatory and CSR requirements to suppliers; obtain technical datasheets, drawings, and firm price commitments on forecasted volumes
- Identify and pilot time-to-market risks by analyzing technical compliance against specifications, CSR/regulatory requirements, and anticipate performance/after-sales risks with product technicians
- Collaborate with suppliers to secure firm quality, pricing, and delivery guarantees while proposing industrial or alternative solutions in coordination with development teams
- Launch and monitor production industrializations; receive and validate pre-production trials and components according to Style expectations and quality standards
- Ensure cross-functional communication with procurement, quality, development, production, collection, and merchandising teams; manage master documentation with support from an apprentice
- Anticipate inventory requirements based on seasonal and annual consolidations and maintain safety stocks to secure production needs
- Calculate pre-purchase requirements, launch anticipated tooling and raw materials, negotiate volumes-based pricing, and provide suppliers visibility on requirements and expected delivery dates
- Verify BOM reference coherence in PLM systems, ensure proper component referencing (price, colors, sizes), and formalize industrialization reports
- Formalize industrialization maturity, identify possible re-use opportunities, and propose grouped pricing to enable procurement to issue orders on schedule
- Provide weekly reporting, serve as technical reference for component issues, manage supplier alerts in case of disputes, and manage assembly sets
- Arbitrate on physical returns from warehouses following factory inventory consolidations; prepare destocking waves in coordination with controlling and CSR teams
- Support warehouse in proper component management, including specifications, storage, and documentation

- Minimum 10 years of experience in senior components procurement
- Deep expertise in component manufacturing processes (metal parts, zips, etc.) and established supplier relationships
- Factory or manufacturing environment experience
- Strong Excel proficiency

Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience as a senior components buyer or procurement specialist, with demonstrated expertise in component manufacturing processes (metal parts, zips, fasteners, etc.). Factory or production environment experience is highly valued. A strong track record of supplier management, industrialization oversight, and time-to-market delivery is essential.
Education
Technical or engineering background (baccalauréat +3 minimum) is preferred; equivalent professional experience in component procurement and industrialization may substitute for formal qualifications.
