Accounting Manager position at Céline in Strada in Chianti, Italy – manage accounting for four legal entities within a luxury fashion house.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle for four companies/legal entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for each entity
- Coordinate and manage the year-end closing process and preparation of statutory financial statements
- Ensure proper maintenance of the general ledger and oversee all journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations
- Monitor and manage tax obligations, ensuring timely and accurate filings in coordination with external advisors
- Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities, auditors, and external consultants
- Manage inventory accounting and ensure proper valuation and control procedures are in place
- Oversee e-commerce accounting and related reconciliations where applicable
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, local statutory requirements, and corporate procedures
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring activities
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls
- Manage expense report processes and related accounting controls through internal tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or a similar role
- Experience liaising with external auditors, tax advisors, and public authorities
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Experience in luxury or fashion business is advantageous

Experience
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in accounting or a related financial role. Experience working within the luxury or fashion sector is preferred but not required.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.

This position is based in Strada in Chianti, Tuscany, Italy, within easy reach of Florence.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position is EUR 70,000 per annum.
