Role & Responsibilities
- Support skilled technicians on the shop floor with micromechanical assembly, component preparation and finishing tasks under supervision.
- Learn and apply fine manual techniques — filing, polishing, fitting and adjustment — using loupes and precision hand tools.
- Perform basic quality-control checks and dimensional measurements using calipers and micrometers; document findings according to atelier procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organised workstation and follow health, safety and traceability protocols for parts and tools.
- Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives by reporting production issues, time studies and suggestions for process optimisation.
- Keep accurate training logs and participate in formal learning modules, coachings and assessments assigned by the workshop supervisor.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a vocational or technical programme in watchmaking, micro-mechanics, jewellery-making or a closely related craft.
- Demonstrable manual dexterity and fine motor control suitable for precision assembly work.
- Basic familiarity with technical drawings and the ability to follow written work instructions.
- Professional attitude, punctuality and the ability to work within a small, disciplined atelier team.
