Cartier — Technical Intern in Couvet, Switzerland. Internship supporting technical workshops, assembly and quality for Cartier's production atelier.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support workshop technicians in assembly, adjustment and finishing of components under supervision.
- Perform precision measurement and inspection of parts using standard metrology instruments.
- Assist in routine maintenance of production equipment and report technical issues to the engineering team.
- Participate in quality-control processes, documenting findings and contributing to corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous-improvement activities, including proposal and testing of small-scale process optimizations.
- Follow established health, safety and confidentiality procedures in a regulated atelier environment.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a technical diploma or degree (mechanical engineering, micro‑mechanics, watchmaking, precision mechanics or equivalent).
- Demonstrable manual dexterity and attention to fine detail.
- Basic understanding of technical drawings and mechanical principles.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work within a structured workshop environment.
- Commitment to high standards of quality, discretion and teamwork.
Skills
Experience
Internship-level role suitable for a current student or recent graduate with practical experience in a technical workshop or vocational training placement. Prior exposure to precision assembly, watchmaking or micro‑mechanics is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Currently pursuing or recently completed a vocational/technical qualification or university programme in mechanical engineering, micro‑mechanics, watchmaking or a closely related discipline.
