Cartier — Paris: Sustainability Project Manager (Chef de projet Sustainability) starting July 2026. Lead ESG projects and supplier engagement for the maison.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sustainability projects from definition to delivery, ensuring milestones, budgets and quality targets are met.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders — including product, supply chain, operations, retail and communications — to embed sustainability requirements into business processes.
  • Develop and monitor ESG-related KPIs and dashboards to track progress against targets (e.g. carbon, waste, water, responsible sourcing).
  • Manage supplier engagement and due diligence activities to advance responsible sourcing and supplier improvement plans.
  • Prepare technical briefings, internal reports and presentations for senior leadership and external disclosures.
  • Ensure alignment with recognised sustainability frameworks and reporting standards, and support audit and certification processes where applicable.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (material substitution, lifecycle optimisation, packaging reduction) and translate technical findings into actionable roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, supply chain or equivalent; a relevant master's is advantageous.
  • Proven project management capability with experience planning, executing and closing multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of sustainability frameworks and metrics relevant to luxury goods (e.g. GHG accounting, lifecycle thinking, responsible sourcing).
  • Experience engaging with suppliers and cross-border manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with an ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Experience

Mid-level sustainability professional with approximately 3–5 years of hands-on experience in sustainability, ESG or environmental projects; experience within luxury goods, fashion, retail or complex supply chains is strongly preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, supply chain management or related field; master’s degree or specialised sustainability qualification preferred.
