Cartier seeks a Stone Cutting Machinist in Paris to join its High Jewelry manufacturing workshop with CAD and CNC expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define machining strategy based on stone and resin properties in coordination with CAD, lapidary, and glyphic departments
- Develop and execute CAD phases including tool trajectories, cutting parameters, and specifications
- Design and oversee production of tooling and positioning fixtures necessary for component manufacturing
- Execute CNC machining and manual finishing operations on stone and resin components
- Perform quality control and inspection of finished components
- Ensure on-time delivery of components in accordance with production schedules
- Conduct first-level preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Optimize utilization of available production capacity within the workshop
- Participate in capacity planning and weekly performance reporting
- Implement corrective actions as needed to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets
- Manage supplies, inventory control, and receipt of consumables
Qualifications
- Baccalauréat professionnel or BTS in a technical discipline
- Demonstrated proficiency in CAD software, specifically WORK NC Industrial module
- Solid knowledge of mechanical design and numerical machining principles
- Experience with CNC machining techniques including 5-axis milling and turning on hardened materials
- Proven ability to work in project-based environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High degree of autonomy and self-direction

Experience
First professional experience in an industrial environment required; demonstrated background in CNC machining, CAD programming, and stone or precision component processing.
Education
Baccalauréat professionnel or BTS in a technical field (engineering, mechanical technology, or equivalent).
