Cartier — Short‑Term Planner in Villars‑sur‑Glâne. Responsible for short‑term production scheduling, order orchestration and capacity management for Cartier's Swiss operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and execute the short‑term production schedule to meet customer delivery commitments and optimise shop‑floor efficiency.
  • Translate demand signals and S&OP directives into daily/weekly order releases and work centre load plans.
  • Monitor capacity, material availability and critical path items; escalate and implement corrective actions to mitigate shortages and bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate cross‑functionally with procurement, manufacturing, engineering and logistics to harmonise priorities and resolve disruptions.
  • Adjust plans in real time in response to quality holds, urgent orders and supply variances; maintain rigorous change control and documentation.
  • Track and report key planning KPIs (on‑time delivery, lead time adherence, schedule attainment) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate master data and planning parameters within ERP/MRP systems and support regular production meetings with clear, actionable insight.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in short‑term production planning, scheduling or production control, preferably within luxury goods, precision manufacturing or watchmaking.
  • Proven ability to manage complex schedules under tight lead times and to prioritise competing operational demands.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with experience using planning metrics to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a structured approach to problem solving.

Skills

SAP (production planning / MRP modules) — experience configuring and operating planning transactions MRP/MPS and APS methodologies Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis) Production scheduling and capacity planning KPI reporting and root‑cause analysis

Experience

Minimum three years of direct experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment; experience in luxury goods, watchmaking or precision assembly strongly preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent professional experience.
