Cartier in Paris seeks a Senior Industrial Project Manager to lead industrialization and production ramp‑up for high‑precision jewellery and watches.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end industrialization projects from prototype validation to production ramp‑up, ensuring manufacturability, quality and cost targets are met.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including R&D, product engineering, quality, supply chain, procurement and production to align technical and commercial objectives.
- Define and manage project plans, budgets, milestones and risk registers; report progress to senior stakeholders and propose corrective actions.
- Drive supplier qualification and technical transfers with external ateliers, ensuring tooling, process capability and quality standards are achieved.
- Specify and validate production tooling, fixtures, assembly protocols and measurement methods; supervise trials and pilot runs.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (lean methods, FMEA, root‑cause analysis) to increase yield, reduce cycle time and lower cost of non‑quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental and HSE requirements during industrialization activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation: process sheets, control plans, work instructions and acceptance criteria; support operator training during ramp‑up.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
- Proven senior experience (typically 7+ years) in industrial project management within precision manufacturing, luxury watchmaking, jewellery or analogous high‑precision industries.
- Demonstrable track record of leading technical transfers, supplier industrialization and production ramp‑ups.
- Strong command of project management methodologies; PMP or equivalent certification is advantageous.
- Fluent French and professional working knowledge of English to communicate with international stakeholders.

Experience
Senior candidate with approximately seven or more years of progressive experience managing complex industrial projects in precision manufacturing, luxury watchmaking or jewellery production, including supplier transfers and full production ramp‑ups.
Education
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
