Cartier — Paris: Quality Manager, Accessories. Lead accessory quality and supplier control for Cartier's high-jewellery and accessories in Paris.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define, implement and maintain the quality strategy, standards and control plans for the accessories product category across in-house ateliers and external suppliers.
- Establish inspection protocols, sampling plans and acceptance criteria for incoming materials, in-process operations and finished goods.
- Lead product testing, dimensional and visual inspection programmes and ensure traceability of non-conformities from detection to closure.
- Drive supplier quality management: qualify suppliers, perform audits, manage corrective action plans and monitor supplier performance metrics.
- Coordinate cross-functional problem solving (production, R&D, purchasing, product development) using root-cause analysis and structured corrective/preventive methodologies.
- Manage and coach a small quality team; allocate resources and set performance targets aligned with production schedules.
- Maintain quality documentation, specifications and reporting; ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and internal requirements.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives (process optimisation, waste reduction, enhanced controls) and lead quality improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage quality processes for complex, high-value manufactured accessories or comparable precision products.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Demonstrable experience conducting supplier audits, writing corrective action plans and following through to completion.
- Analytical mindset with experience in root-cause analysis and formal corrective/preventive methods.
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail; able to translate technical requirements into actionable inspection criteria.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment where craft quality and industrial discipline intersect.
Skills
Experience
Typically 5+ years in quality assurance or quality engineering within luxury accessories, leather goods, jewellery or precision manufacturing, including direct responsibility for supplier quality and audit programmes.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, materials science, industrial quality or a related technical discipline.
