Cartier — Le Pré‑Saint‑Gervais: Quality Laboratory Engineer Intern (Sept 2026) role supporting QC testing and method development in a luxury jewellery/watch laboratory.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support routine and non‑routine quality control testing of precious metals, alloys, gem materials and finished components in the laboratory.
  • Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation and testing equipment under supervision (sample preparation, calibration, validation and documentation).
  • Collect, analyse and interpret test data; prepare clear technical reports and maintain laboratory notebooks and QC records.
  • Assist with root‑cause investigations for non‑conformances and contribute to corrective action plans and continuous improvement projects.
  • Contribute to the development and validation of test methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality documentation to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, production, sourcing) to support incoming materials inspection and release activities.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an engineering or scientific degree programme (Materials Science, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) at Master’s or final‑year engineering school level.
  • Demonstrable laboratory experience from prior internships, academic projects or practical coursework.
  • Strong analytical mindset with an ability to synthesise technical data and present concise findings.
  • Autonomous, methodical and attentive to detail with a commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Availability to start an internship in September 2026 and commitment to the full internship duration as specified by the host site.

Experience
