Cartier seeks a Quality Control Inspector for gemstones in Paris to test and validate precious stones and diamonds according to established standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Select and perform complex tests on coloured stones and diamonds using specialized methods and equipment; validate and interpret test data to ensure specifications are met
- Conduct quality assurance activities to support the validation of existing and new test methods and procedures
- Contribute to the evaluation and improvement of current policies and business processes within the quality management system; assist in the design and documentation of new policies and procedures
- Adhere to and promote the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies; instruct team members in safe working practices and address risky behaviour
- Monitor and report noncompliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory codes, escalating issues as appropriate
- Identify and address shortcomings in existing processes through established change management programs
- Organize and prepare complex documents; gather and summarize data for special reports
- Design monthly schedules and assign tasks to optimize workflow and ensure high-priority tasks are completed efficiently
- Develop professional capabilities through participation in training, coaching, and ongoing education on relevant technology and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Short-cycle tertiary education
- Relevant experience in quality control or gemstone testing
- Ability to handle complex situations and provide guidance to others
- Basic experience in coordinating the work of others
- Proficiency with specialized gemstone testing equipment and methods

Experience
Relevant professional experience in quality control, gemstone testing, or laboratory analysis; demonstrated capability in handling complex technical situations and advising others.
Education
Short-cycle tertiary education (technical diploma or equivalent in geology, gemology, quality management, or a related field).
