Cartier — Paris: Public Relations Manager (4‑month fixed‑term) to lead press relations and local PR activations for the maison.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the local PR strategy in alignment with global communications objectives to maximise media visibility for product launches, campaigns and cultural initiatives.
  • Manage day‑to‑day relationships with national and trade press, securing coverage and shaping narratives across print, broadcast and digital media.
  • Plan and deliver press events, previews, editorial appointments and press trips, coordinating logistics, guest lists and on‑site briefings.
  • Oversee agency partners and freelance contributors; set briefs, monitor deliverables, manage budgets and evaluate performance.
  • Draft and approve press materials (press releases, Q&As, media kits) and prepare spokespeople with media talking points.
  • Monitor media coverage and competitor activity; produce regular reports and ROI analyses for senior stakeholders.
  • Support issues and crisis communications locally, liaising with global comms and legal as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in public/press relations, ideally within luxury fashion, jewellery or premium lifestyle brands.
  • Proven track record of relationships with national and specialised media in France.
  • Experience managing PR agencies and coordinating cross‑functional teams (marketing, retail, events, legal).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong editorial judgement and media storytelling ability.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or equivalent.

Experience
