Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end product qualification projects from prototype to industrial release for jewellery and watch lines, ensuring technical readiness and conformity to specifications.
- Define and implement validation strategies, test plans and acceptance criteria in collaboration with R&D, design, industrialisation, quality assurance, production and suppliers.
- Coordinate and drive cross‑functional teams and external partners to meet schedule, cost and quality milestones; escalate and resolve cross‑stakeholder issues.
- Manage qualification testing activities, interpret results, direct corrective actions and supervise failure analysis and root‑cause investigations.
- Maintain and control technical documentation, qualification dossiers and release records required for product launch and regulatory compliance.
- Assess supplier capability and participate in supplier qualification, audits and corrective action follow‑through.
- Identify and mitigate technical and schedule risks; report programme status to stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement of qualification processes.
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, watchmaking or equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven experience leading product qualification, validation or technical projects within luxury goods, watchmaking, jewellery or related high‑precision manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of qualification methodologies, test protocol development and failure analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers across international contexts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and present findings to senior stakeholders.
Skills
Experience
Minimum five years' experience in product qualification, quality engineering or technical project management within luxury goods, watchmaking, jewellery or comparable precision manufacturing, with a track record of delivering complex, cross‑disciplinary projects to industrial release.
Education
Technical degree (engineering, materials science, mechanical/watchmaking diploma) or equivalent professional experience.
