Cartier — Paris: Perfume Formulation Development Intern (Stage) starting July 2026. Internship in fragrance R&D supporting formulation and analytical testing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the fragrance R&D team in bench‑scale formulation and iterative prototype preparation for perfume projects.
- Prepare and document samples, perform accurate weighing and dilutions, and maintain laboratory notebooks and material logs.
- Assist with physico‑chemical and stability testing protocols; record and interpret analytical data from GC‑MS and HPLC where applicable.
- Participate in olfactory evaluations and internal tastings, contributing structured sensory feedback and comparative notes.
- Coordinate sample flow with regulatory, packaging and procurement teams and ensure compliance with laboratory safety and hygiene procedures.
- Contribute to formulation dossiers, technical reports and cross‑functional project meetings, ensuring traceability of raw materials and changes.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a closely related field.
- Practical laboratory experience gained through prior internships or academic projects, including accurate weighing, dilutions and sample handling.
- Basic understanding of fragrance raw materials, perfume composition and formulation principles.
- Strong analytical mindset, meticulous record‑keeping and rigorous approach to experimental protocol.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams and communicate findings clearly in written reports.

Experience
Internship-level: prior laboratory internships or academic project work in formulation, analytical chemistry or cosmetics is preferred but not mandatory.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Paris, Île-de-France, France.
