Cartier seeks Movement Constructor in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Design and develop precision watch movements with 5+ years of horological expertise required.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop new watch movements and conduct feasibility studies with 3D construction
  • Present and defend movement construction during design review sessions
  • Pilot or execute technical documentation files and ensure compliance with NIHS and GPS standards
  • Accompany qualifications and approvals of technical files
  • Maintain regular communication with external partners and suppliers
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of products and ensure availability of technical data via PLM systems

Qualifications

  • Superior education in horological construction or microtechnics with horological construction specialization
  • Minimum 5 years of confirmed experience in horological movement construction
  • Solid knowledge of materials, structural calculations, and numerical simulations
  • Mastery of NIHS and GPS standards
  • Proficiency with CREO software (advantageous)
