Role & Responsibilities

  • Define, document and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions and standard operating procedures for precision watch components.
  • Lead industrialization activities for new products and product revisions, including process qualification, pilot runs and transfer to series production.
  • Conduct time-and-motion studies, capacity analyses and process balancing to optimise takt time and throughput.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S), corrective actions and root-cause analyses in collaboration with production and quality teams.
  • Specify and qualify tooling, fixtures and gauging; coordinate trials with suppliers and internal maintenance teams.
  • Perform process risk assessments (FMEA) and ensure compliance with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Train and support production operators on new methods, work instructions and best practices.
  • Collaborate with R&D, quality, planning and supply‑chain to resolve production constraints and accelerate ramp-up.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, watchmaking technician qualification (CFC/BTS) or equivalent vocational training.
  • Demonstrable experience in industrialisation, process engineering or manufacturing methods within precision mechanics or watchmaking.
  • Practical knowledge of process documentation, work instruction writing and process validation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools (5S, Kaizen), FMEA and root-cause analysis techniques.
  • Strong understanding of metrology and basic inspection methods relevant to high‑precision components.
