Cartier apprentice polymechanic (CFC) opening in La Chaux-de-Fonds; four-year federal vocational training in precision mechanics and CNC machining.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform complete mechanical assemblies and precision machining operations on conventional and CNC machines
- Program and operate computer numerical control (CNC) equipment to manufacture bespoke and prototype components
- Execute advanced machining techniques including wire erosion and sink erosion processes
- Conduct rigorous quality inspections and analyses on manufactured pieces to ensure compliance with specifications
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot production defects with technical precision
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives within production workflows
- Collaborate seamlessly with diverse métiers and departments across the Maison
Qualifications
- Proficiency in French language (spoken and written) sufficient to succeed in professional training
- Strong aptitude in mathematics with demonstrated logical and technical reasoning capabilities
- Genuine passion for precision mechanics, technical disciplines, and horology
- Manual dexterity combined with meticulous attention to detail
- Proven autonomy, rigour, and proactive work ethic
- Excellent team collaboration and interpersonal communication skills

Experience
No prior professional experience required; candidates with practical internship experience in precision mechanics or horology are advantaged.
Education
Swiss secondary education (lower or upper secondary school diploma) or equivalent; strong performance in mathematics and technical subjects expected.
