Cartier seeks Manufacturing Methods Technician in Couvet, Switzerland for technical design, tooling development, and production optimization within horological manufacturing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Establish manufacturing phase plans from technical specifications, including marking phase blueprints and cutting tool designs in collaboration with production programmers and quality technicians
- Design and construct component phase plans as part of a coordinated team (programmer, technician, quality specialist), ensuring full industrialization documentation coherence
- Develop and construct tooling and fabrication documentation, coordinating procurement and ensuring optimal tooling functionality for production operations
- Rationalize and standardize tooling in collaboration with mechanics and production teams to optimize quality, costs, and lead times
- Manage and update manufacturing plans within the PLM database system, ensuring compliance with lifecycle protocols and data integrity
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support production optimization efforts for both products and processes
Qualifications
- CFC (Federal Certificate of Competence) in technical drafting or equivalent qualification
- First professional experience in industrial manufacturing or technical design environment
- Proficiency in technical drawing techniques and CAD software applications
- Comfortable with IT environments and database systems
Skills
Experience
First professional experience in industrial manufacturing, technical design, or related production environment preferred.
Education
CFC (Federal Certificate of Competence) in technical drafting, mechanical design, or equivalent technical qualification required.
