Cartier seeks an experienced Machining Shift Supervisor for night shift operations at Villars-sur-Glâne facility in Switzerland.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Organize and optimize departmental operations, evaluate team performance, and develop technical expertise to enhance retention and engagement
  • Serve as primary communication liaison to team members, promoting Cartier's core values and strategic objectives
  • Cultivate a healthy, stimulating work environment aligned with Maison standards
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, oversee administrative management of the team, and maintain comprehensive documentation
  • Maintain existing manufacturing processes and equipment while implementing new production methodologies
  • Facilitate information sharing across cross-functional partners and team members
  • Monitor production metrics and prepare regular sector reporting and performance analysis
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities across ergonomics, workflow, methodology, tooling, and quality standards
  • Implement and manage quality control procedures and self-inspection systems
  • Analyze non-conformity issues and coordinate corrective actions with Quality and Methods teams
  • Participate in problem-solving initiatives affecting the production section
  • Produce work while maintaining and enhancing sector performance in Quality, Delivery, and Productivity

Qualifications

  • CFC (Federal Vocational Diploma) in Polymechanics or Micromechanics, or equivalent ES (Higher Technical Diploma) in Microtechniques
  • Several years of demonstrated experience in industrial manufacturing environments
  • Mastery of precision machining processes and CNC operations
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and computerized tools
  • Knowledge of performance management systems, planning tools, and KPI frameworks
  • Strong autonomous decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to drive organizational change and manage high-pressure situations effectively
  • Excellent communication, pedagogy, and active listening skills
  • Capacity to build and federate diverse teams
  • Rigorous, responsible approach with proactive mindset
