Cartier is hiring a Logistics Planner / Project Manager in Le Locle, Switzerland to lead logistics projects and optimise supply chain performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed logistics plans and project schedules to ensure timely supply of parts, components and finished goods across manufacturing and distribution sites.
  • Lead cross‑functional logistics projects from initiation through closure, coordinating internal stakeholders (production, procurement, quality, sales) and external partners (carriers, customs brokers, 3PLs).
  • Define project scope, milestones, resource requirements and risk mitigation plans; track progress against KPIs and report to senior stakeholders.
  • Optimize inventory flows and transportation strategies, proposing process improvements to reduce lead times, costs and stock imbalances.
  • Manage logistics-related change initiatives, including ERP/IT deployments, process standardisation, and compliance measures (customs, export controls).
  • Prepare and present concise project documentation, status reports and post‑implementation reviews; ensure lessons learned are institutionalised.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering or related discipline; master’s degree advantageous.
  • Proven project management capability; PMP, Prince2 or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of logistics processes including inbound/outbound planning, transportation, warehousing and customs procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects in a manufacturing or luxury goods environment.

Skills

SAP (MM / WM / SD) experience Advanced Microsoft Excel Power BI or similar reporting tools Microsoft Project (or equivalent project‑management software) Lean / Six Sigma methodologies Project management certification (PMP or Prince2 preferred)

Experience

Several years of hands‑on experience in logistics planning and project management, ideally within watchmaking, jewellery, luxury goods manufacturing or precision industrial environments. Track record of delivering process improvements and managing external logistics partners.

Education

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field; master's degree or relevant professional certifications preferred.
