Cartier seeks a Logistics Coordinator in Le Locle, Switzerland to manage MRP, production planning, and supplier relations at its luxury jewelry manufacture.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage product MRP and component requirement calculations within enterprise resource planning systems
  • Pilot short-term weekly production scheduling and escalate alerts to relevant departments
  • Maintain manufacturing work orders across the planning demand plan horizon
  • Establish and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships, including order confirmations, deadline tracking, and follow-up coordination
  • Procure precious materials in accordance with production demand
  • Develop and execute medium-term load-capacity alignment plans in collaboration with planning teams
  • Ensure short-term load-capacity adequacy across the production unit
  • Participate in continuous improvement and optimization initiatives, proposing performance enhancement ideas
  • Execute and track implementation of improvement actions
  • Maintain and communicate logistics performance indicators
  • Oversee inventory tracking actions and prepare stock reporting; reconcile stock levels with production activity
  • Participate in rotating weekly and annual physical inventory counts
  • Serve as SAP key user and animate the logistics community
  • Contribute to Supply Chain information systems evolution and process enhancement, including AI-augmented scheduling tool deployment
  • Monitor and report on work-in-progress valuation and component inventory status

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, microtechnology, industrial engineering, or supply chain management (or equivalent qualification)
  • Confirmed professional experience of at least 2 years in an industrial setting
  • Strong proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Advanced-level Excel competency
  • Demonstrated SAP platform mastery
  • Familiarity with EWM (SAP Extended Warehouse Management) environments
  • Experience with digital workshop tools (e.g., Tulip platform)
