Cartier Paris seeks International Merchandiser for watches (fixed-term maternity cover). Drive global category strategy and sales performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deploy merchandising activity processes and tools in close collaboration with cross-functional partners including Product Marketing, Commercial, Operations, and regional teams
  • Analyze category performance data including sales by product typology, collection, geography, and boutique to inform optimization recommendations and collection planning
  • Monitor sales forecasts and KPIs, identify performance gaps, and drive growth initiatives through inventory rebalancing and rapid action plans
  • Define and maintain assortment guidelines for all product offerings and new launches, ensuring consistent execution across all markets
  • Contribute to space planning and visual display recommendations aligned with product strategy and regional client needs
  • Lead product launch strategies by determining network scope, quantities, assortments, and phasing; ensure consistent execution across markets
  • Serve as operational liaison between Product Marketing and Commercial teams, translating product strategy into concrete actions for local teams
  • Support and mentor local teams to achieve established performance targets
  • Organize showroom operations on a project-based model, consolidate regional launch strategies and quantities while balancing global equilibrium with regional execution priorities

Qualifications

  • Business School or Engineering degree graduate
  • Minimum 3–5 years of merchandising or buying experience in central and/or local roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in the hard luxury sector, international experience, and retail environment
  • Advanced analytical and synthesis skills with strong performance orientation
  • Proactive mindset with solution-focused and results-driven approach
  • Strong organizational autonomy, execution discipline, and operational rigor
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative team skills
  • Fluent English and French (mandatory); additional language skills advantageous

Experience
