Cartier — Paris: International Merchandiser (Joaillerie) to manage global assortment, forecasting and inventory for fine jewellery.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute international assortment and merchandising strategies for the jewellery category across assigned markets and channels.
  • Own seasonal product plans, SKU rationalization and lifecycle management to maximize sell-through and margin.
  • Prepare demand forecasts, allocation plans and replenishment strategies in collaboration with regional merchandising and retail operations teams.
  • Monitor sales performance and KPIs; translate quantitative insight into tactical actions and range adjustments.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with design, buying, supply chain, marketing and visual merchandising to ensure coherent product launches and in-store presentation.
  • Manage price architecture, promotion strategies and full-price sell-through to protect brand positioning and profitability.
  • Support commercial negotiations with suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure optimal terms and delivery schedules.
  • Drive continuous improvement of merchandising processes and contribute to global merchandise planning tools and reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Fashion or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proven commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into merchandising decisions.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience in demand forecasting, inventory control and KPI analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder management; experience working with design, buying, supply chain and retail teams.
  • Demonstrated understanding of luxury positioning and product lifecycle in premium jewellery or watch categories.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities across time zones.

Experience

Approximately 5+ years of progressive merchandising or buying experience, ideally within luxury jewellery, watches or premium accessories; international scope or multi-market exposure preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Fashion or a closely related field, or equivalent professional experience.
