Cartier is hiring a Health, Safety & Environment Officer in Paris to oversee HSE compliance, risk assessments and training.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the site's health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and management system in alignment with group standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, workplace inspections and environmental impact reviews; propose corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and root‑cause analysis, compile reports and ensure corrective actions are tracked to closure.
  • Plan and deliver HSE training and awareness programmes for employees, contractors and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits (including ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 frameworks where applicable) and manage remediation plans.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with French HSE legislation and maintain required documentation and permits.
  • Advise operations, facilities and retail teams on safe working practices, ergonomics, hazardous materials handling and waste management.
  • Manage emergency preparedness and business continuity arrangements, including drills and liaison with local authorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, environmental science, engineering or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification in HSE such as NEBOSH, TÜV, or a recognised equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of French HSE regulatory framework and practical experience applying it in an operational context.
  • Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and to manage audit programmes.

Experience

Typically 3–5 years of progressive HSE experience within industrial, manufacturing or luxury retail environments, including hands‑on responsibility for compliance, audits and incident management. Experience operating within multi‑site or multinational organisations is advantageous.

Education

Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering or equivalent.
