Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the facilities and engineering teams in monitoring and analysing site energy consumption across electricity, heating and cooling systems.
  • Contribute to energy audits, data collection and measurement‑and‑verification activities to identify savings opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain energy dashboards and technical reports to track performance and validate optimisation measures.
  • Assist in the specification and testing of building systems adjustments (BMS setpoints, HVAC scheduling, lighting controls) and follow up on implementation with contractors.
  • Research and quantify technical and economic impact of energy‑saving measures and produce clear recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with sustainability, maintenance and procurement teams to ensure alignment with corporate energy targets and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a university or engineering programme in energy engineering, mechanical/building services engineering, environmental engineering, physics or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with experience in energy or building‑services projects, audits or laboratory work.
  • Ability to collect, clean and interpret technical data and translate findings into concise, actionable recommendations.
  • Good organisational skills, autonomy and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and third‑party contractors.
  • Valid authorisations to access industrial or technical sites and willingness to travel locally between facilities.

Experience

Previous internship(s), capstone projects or coursework involving energy audits, building performance analysis, HVAC systems or sustainability initiatives preferred but not mandatory for application; demonstrable technical project work will be considered.

Education

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in energy, mechanical/building services, environmental engineering, physics, or an equivalent technical discipline.
