Cartier Development Project Manager – Paris, France. Lead luxury packaging development and CSR initiatives within the strategic Octopus project.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the development of assigned packaging references within the Octopus strategic initiative, managing project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement
  • Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies for packaging development projects in collaboration with the senior developer buyer
  • Design and develop packaging solutions that comply with marketing briefs, quality standards, budgets, and established timelines
  • Establish, monitor, and communicate development schedules and key decision milestones to senior leadership and project committees (SMO and COMOP)
  • Collaborate with suppliers to brief, challenge, and validate packaging designs, ensuring adherence to specifications throughout the validation process
  • Coordinate quality and compliance validations with relevant departments to ensure regulatory conformance and CSR alignment
  • Maintain and update technical documentation and quality records for all packaging references
  • Identify and pilot continuous improvement initiatives for existing packaging ranges in response to quality and compliance feedback
  • Implement CSR-related actions and 'design to value' initiatives in coordination with CSR, materials development, and senior project leadership
  • Monitor and report on project status, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, compliance, and timeline objectives

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in packaging development or product development project management within luxury goods, fashion, or related high-end industries
  • Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, compliance requirements, and sustainability (CSR) principles applicable to luxury packaging
  • Competence in project management methodologies and tools
  • Experience with risk analysis, mitigation planning, and continuous improvement processes

Experience

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent field; or equivalent professional experience in packaging or product development.
