Cartier in Villars-sur-Glâne seeks a Casing Operator (Opératrice emboîtage) for precision watch assembly at its Swiss atelier.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform precision emboîtage operations: install and secure watch movements into cases while ensuring correct alignment and functional integrity.
  • Operate micro-assembly tools and fixtures (loupe/magnifier, torque screwdrivers, assembly jigs) with rigorous attention to tolerances and finishes.
  • Conduct visual and functional inspections during and after casing to detect dust, positioning errors, or mechanical interference; document inspection results.
  • Maintain a clean, contamination-controlled workstation following atelier procedures and quality protocols.
  • Participate in first-line quality control and escalate non-conformities; apply corrective actions in collaboration with quality and production teams.
  • Keep accurate production records and traceability documentation in accordance with internal traceability procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimise process reliability, ergonomics, and yield.

Qualifications

  • Vocational qualification in watchmaking, micromechanics or an equivalent apprenticeship-level credential preferred.
  • Demonstrable fine motor skills, excellent hand–eye coordination and steady manual dexterity under magnification.
  • Ability to interpret basic technical drawings and follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Strong visual acuity; capacity to perform repetitive, detail-focused tasks for sustained periods.
  • Commitment to high standards of quality, cleanliness and respect for proprietary manufacturing processes.

Experience
